CHVTC 2025 Job List (so far)

Trailmaster Craig has released his wish list for the 2025 trailwork season.

Of course we'll have all our usual Level 1 maintenance work to do; Spring patrols, clearing blowdowns and drains, brushing, touching up blazes, and such. This list of Level 2 projects, building fixtures, steps, waterbars, etc., requires more planning and specialized skills.

Equal parts essential and aspirational (with a dash of inspirational), this list of jobs may be more than a single season will allow. Who knows what will be revealed when the snow melts, or what curveballs Mother Nature is going to throw during the season. But this is all stuff that needs to be done, and as they say, your reach should exceed your grasp.

Mount Cardigan

West Ridge Trail: add rock steps & drains.
South Ridge Trail: build revetting & rock steps.
Skyland Trail: blaze WHITE, 3.1 miles.

Mount Kearsarge

Rollins Trail: build drainage ditch & revetting.
Winslow Trail: barricading & 0.1 mile trail relocation.

Mount Sunapee

Rim Trail: trail relocation near Newbury Trail to move trail away from the brook bed.
Newbury Trail: short trail relocation to improve drainage.
